Operations & Logistics

Catering Team Member

Help keep everyone fuelled and ready for adventure at Jamboree! As a Catering Team Member, you’ll support the preparation, serving, and clean-up of meals, helping to create a positive and efficient dining experience for all.

You’ll work as part of a friendly, fast-paced team to ensure food is prepared safely, service runs smoothly, and everyone is well looked after.

This role suits someone who is reliable, positive, and enjoys hands-on, busy environments. Being a strong team player, well organised, and willing to pitch in wherever needed is key. You’ll need to be physically fit, as the role involves time on your feet and some lifting or moving of supplies.

A friendly attitude, good communication skills, and a commitment to high standards of hygiene and safety will help you thrive. Experience in catering or food service is helpful but not essential, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn matter most.

Transport Team Member

Help keep Jamboree moving! As a Transport Team Member, you’ll support the coordination and movement of people, equipment, and supplies across the site and to off-site activities. You’ll play a key role in making sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.

You’ll work as part of a fast-paced team to help ensure everyone is where they need to be, when they need to be there.

This role suits someone who is organised, reliable, and adaptable. You’ll need to communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and be happy working in a busy environment. Being physically fit is important, as the role may involve time on your feet, assisting with loading, or moving equipment.

A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed will help you thrive. Experience with logistics or transport coordination is helpful but not essential.

Security Team Member

Help keep Jamboree safe and welcoming for everyone! As a Security Team Member, you’ll support the smooth running of the event by monitoring areas, assisting with access control, and providing a friendly, visible presence around the site.

You’ll play an important role in helping create a safe and supportive environment for participants, leaders, and visitors throughout Jamboree.

This role suits someone who is responsible, approachable, and calm under pressure. You’ll need to be observant, reliable, and confident communicating with a wide range of people. Being physically fit and comfortable spending time on your feet or walking around the site is important.

A positive, team-focused attitude and willingness to step in and help wherever needed will help you thrive in this role. Experience in security or supervision is helpful but not essential, good judgement and a commitment to keeping everyone safe are what matter most.

Site Team Member

Help bring Jamboree to life behind the scenes! As a Site Team Member, you’ll support the setup, maintenance, and pack-down of the Jamboree site, helping keep everything running smoothly and looking great.

From assisting with equipment and signage to helping with general site tasks, you’ll play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and well-organised environment for everyone.

This role suits someone who is reliable, hands-on, and enjoys practical work. You’ll need to be physically fit, as the role involves lifting, moving equipment, and spending long periods on your feet.

Being a strong team player, adaptable, and willing to pitch in wherever needed is key. Experience with audio visual equipment, electrical setups, or other practical skills would be an advantage. A positive, can-do attitude and pride in keeping the site running smoothly will help you thrive in this role.

Equipment Team Member

Help keep Jamboree running smoothly behind the scenes! As an Equipment Team Member, you’ll support the organisation, distribution, and maintenance of equipment across the site.

From setting up and packing down gear to helping teams get what they need, you’ll play an important role in keeping everything ready for action throughout Jamboree.

This role suits someone who is reliable, organised, and enjoys hands-on work. You’ll need to be physically fit, as the role may involve lifting, moving, and setting up equipment.

Being a strong team player, practical, and willing to pitch in wherever needed is key. Experience with a variety of tents and tent repairs would be an advantage. A positive, can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills will help you thrive in this busy and essential role.

Shop Team Member

Be part of the buzz at the Jamboree shop! We’re looking for a friendly, customer-focused team member to help create a great shopping experience for Rangers, Guides, and leaders.

You’ll help participants choose from a range of products, support day-to-day shop operations, and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

This role includes helping manage stock levels, restocking supplies when needed, and ensuring purchases are accurately recorded.

This role suits someone who is friendly, reliable, and enjoys working with people in a busy environment. You’ll need to be organised, helpful, and comfortable handling a variety of tasks throughout the day.

Retail experience is beneficial but not required — a positive attitude and willingness to learn are what matter most.

Laundry Team Member

Keep essential services running smoothly behind the scenes at Jamboree! As a Laundry Team Member, you’ll work on a rostered basis to ensure all health centre and other essential laundry is completed onsite and managed efficiently.

You’ll play an important role in maintaining clean, safe, and well-organised facilities that support the wider Jamboree operation.

This role suits someone who is reliable, practical, and happy working as part of a rostered team. An awareness of infection control processes is important, along with the ability to follow routines and work independently when needed.

You’ll need to be physically fit, as the role involves some lifting, movement, and time on your feet.

A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to essential behind-the-scenes work will help you thrive in this role.


Activity and Programme Teams

Guide Programme Onsite Team Member

Jump into the action and be part of the onsite programme experience! You’ll help deliver a range of fun, hands-on activities for Guides, working alongside an activity lead to make each session memorable and engaging.

Activities run in half-day blocks on a round-robin system, meaning you’ll work with a different colour group each day, keeping things fresh, energetic, and full of variety.

This role suits someone who is enthusiastic, approachable, and enjoys working with the Guide age group. Being a strong team player, adaptable, and happy to get involved will help you thrive, along with a positive attitude and a willingness to support a busy, active programme.

Ranger Programme Onsite Team Member

Be part of the Ranger experience at Jamboree! Over the first three days, you’ll join a team delivering and supervising a range of activities designed especially for Ranger-aged participants.

You’ll help create a fun, active, and engaging programme that sets the tone for their wider Jamboree adventure.

This role suits someone who is enthusiastic, approachable, and enjoys working with young people in a high-energy environment. Being adaptable, comfortable spending long periods on your feet, and having strong teamwork skills is important.

A positive attitude and willingness to get involved will help you thrive in this role. Experience working with Rangers is an advantage, as this role is all about energy, encouragement, and creating a great start to their Jamboree journey.

Ceremonies Team Member

Be part of the magic at Jamboree! As a Ceremonies Team Member, you’ll help deliver unforgettable opening and closing events that bring everyone together and create those big, shared Jamboree moments.

You’ll support the smooth running of ceremonies, helping everything come together to create a fun, high-energy and memorable experience for all participants.

This role suits someone who is friendly, enthusiastic, and enjoys working as part of a supportive team. Being reliable, flexible, and happy to help wherever needed will go a long way, along with a positive attitude and comfort spending long periods on your feet.

You may also have the opportunity to assist in another role between ceremonies, making this a varied and exciting part of the programme.

Day Programme Team Member

Soak up the excitement of Jamboree while helping create an amazing experience for our youngest members, Pippins and Brownies! Each of the five days has its own theme, and you’ll work in a vibrant team to bring pre-planned activities to life with fun, creativity, and plenty of smiles.

You’ll help deliver a programme full of energy, imagination, and hands-on activities that make each day memorable for participants.

This role suits someone who is enthusiastic, energetic, and loves working with younger age groups. Experience with Pippins and Brownies is an advantage, along with the physical ability to keep up with active participants and explore the site throughout the day.

Guide Programme Off-Site Team Member

Be part of the adventure beyond the Jamboree site! As a Guide Programme Off-Site Team Member, you’ll help deliver exciting off-site activities for Guides, ensuring each experience is safe, fun, and well organised.

You’ll support the team in creating memorable outdoor experiences as Guides explore new environments and take on different adventures away from site.

This role suits someone who is enthusiastic, adaptable, and enjoys working with young people in active outdoor settings. You’ll need to be physically fit, comfortable with early starts, and happy spending long periods on your feet.

A strong team player attitude and willingness to get involved wherever needed will help you thrive, contributing to safe, fun, and unforgettable experiences for Guides.


Leadership Roles

Guide Unit Team Leader

Step into a leadership role and make a real difference at Jamboree! As a Guide Unit Team Leader, you’ll lead a unit of around 20–25 Guides, supporting them through an unforgettable camp experience full of adventure, fun, and connection.

You’ll guide your unit through daily activities, camp life, and Jamboree experiences, making sure they are supported, safe, and having the time of their lives.

This role suits someone who is a confident leader, works well in a team, and has strong experience in camping or leading similar-sized Guide units. Holding an Outdoor Camp Certificate (or equivalent experience) is highly valued.

You’ll need to be physically active and able to keep up with a busy, energetic group, as you’ll be responsible for their day-to-day wellbeing, movement, and engagement across the event.

A positive, supportive leadership style and a passion for creating unforgettable experiences will help you thrive in this role.

Guide Unit First Aider

Be part of the Unit Leadership Team and play a vital role in keeping Guides safe and supported at Jamboree. As the Guide Unit First Aider, you’ll look after the first-aid needs of a unit of 20–25 girls, supporting activities and responding confidently to any first aid situations that arise.

You’ll work closely with the wider unit leadership team to help ensure Guides are safe, supported, and able to fully enjoy their Jamboree experience.

This role requires a valid First Aid Certificate and Leadership Qualification (both prior to Jamboree), along with a willingness to support wherever needed. You’ll need to be physically active and able to keep up with a busy, energetic group.

A calm, supportive approach, strong teamwork, and a genuine care for young people will help you thrive in this role, helping create once-in-a-lifetime memories for your Guides.

Guide Unit Team Member

Join the unit leadership team and help make Jamboree an unforgettable experience for your Guides! You’ll work alongside the Guide Unit Team Leader and Guide Unit First Aider to support the day-to-day wellbeing, fun, and adventure of a unit of Guides.

You’ll help create a supportive, positive camp environment where Guides can get the most out of their Jamboree experience.

This role suits someone who has (or will have) their Leadership Qualification and is positive, team-focused, and enjoys camp life. You’ll need the physical ability to keep up with a busy, active group, along with the enthusiasm to encourage and support Guides throughout their journey.

Experience working with Guides is an advantage, and a willingness to get involved and support wherever needed will help you thrive in this role.

Ranger Adventure Team Leader

Lead the way on an unforgettable Jamboree experience! As a Ranger Adventure Team Leader, you’ll guide a Ranger Adventure Group (Unit) through the full seven-day Jamboree, including an exciting three-day offsite adventure.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring your unit is where they need to be, when they need to be there, while supporting Rangers throughout their journey to keep them safe, supported, and having an incredible time.

This role suits someone who is an experienced leader, confident working with the Ranger age group, and passionate about creating meaningful, high-energy experiences. A Lightweight Camp Certificate is preferred, or equivalent substantial camping experience is required.

You’ll need to be physically fit and able to keep up with a fast-paced, adventure-filled programme. A genuine passion for working with young people and helping them get the most out of Jamboree is essential.

Additional requirements (depending on adventure):

  • Tongariro Crossing Adventure: Bush Walking Leader (or equivalent) required
  • City of Sails – Big City, Bigger Adventures: Indoor Camp Certificate and lightweight camping experience required (Lightweight Camp Certificate not essential)

Ranger Adventure First Aider

Play a vital role in the Ranger Adventure experience at Jamboree! As the Ranger Adventure First Aider, you’ll be part of the Adventure leadership team, looking after the first-aid needs of a Ranger Adventure Group (Unit) of around 20–24 girls throughout the seven-day Jamboree, including a three-day offsite adventure.

You’ll support the safe delivery of activities, respond confidently to first-aid situations, and help ensure Rangers are well cared for so they can fully enjoy their adventure.

This role requires a current First Aid Certificate and Leadership Qualification (both prior to Jamboree), along with experience working with the Ranger age group.

It suits someone who is calm under pressure, approachable, and confident making decisions in outdoor environments. You’ll need to be physically fit and able to keep up with a fast-paced, adventure-focused programme, as well as being flexible, organised, and a strong team player.

A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them get the most out of Jamboree is essential, as you’ll be part of creating once-in-a-lifetime memories they’ll treasure forever.

Ranger Adventure Team Member

Support the delivery of an unforgettable seven-day Jamboree experience, including a three-day Ranger Adventure, by working alongside the leadership team to help supervise activities and support Ranger-aged participants.

You’ll help ensure the adventure runs smoothly, safely, and with plenty of energy, supporting Rangers as they take part in an exciting and memorable programme.

This role suits someone who has (or will have prior to Jamboree) their Leadership Qualification and is enthusiastic, reliable, and enjoys working in an outdoor team environment.

You’ll need to be physically fit, adaptable, and confident engaging with Rangers. A positive attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed will help you thrive in this role and contribute to an amazing adventure experience.

Group Leadership Team

Join the Group Leadership Team and help support an incredible Jamboree experience for a large group of around 200–300 girls and their leaders. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the group is safe, well-organised, and set up for a fun, positive, and memorable experience.

The Group Leadership Team is made up of several roles, including Group 2IC Leader, Group First Aider, Health & Welfare Lead, Group Site & Equipment Lead, and Group Safety Lead. While Group Leaders have already been appointed, there are still opportunities to be part of this wider leadership team.

You’ll work collaboratively to support different aspects of group life, including wellbeing, safety, logistics, first aid, and day-to-day coordination depending on your role.

This role suits someone who is enthusiastic, organised, and confident working as part of a team. Strong communication skills and a willingness to support across different areas are essential.

A positive, flexible attitude and a genuine desire to contribute to a large, vibrant group experience will help you thrive in this important leadership team.


Welfare and Support

Health 2IC

Play a key leadership role in supporting the health and wellbeing of everyone at Jamboree. As Health 2IC, you’ll work closely with the Health Lead to help plan, coordinate, and deliver a safe and well-supported health service throughout the event.

In the lead-up to Jamboree, you’ll assist with planning and preparation, including developing and reviewing health emergency plans for serious injury, medical issues, and infectious disease response. You’ll also support communication with parents and caregivers regarding individual health needs, and help update participant management plans where required. Attendance at pre-event health team meetings is also part of the role.

This role requires either a registered medical background (e.g. Doctor, Registered Nurse, EMT, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or similar) or a current First Aid Certificate, along with relevant experience.

It suits someone who is organised, calm under pressure, and confident working within a wider team. A strong sense of responsibility, clear communication skills, and a genuine care for young people’s wellbeing are essential.

You’ll play an important part in ensuring Jamboree is a safe, supported, and positive experience for everyone involved.

Welfare 2IC

Play a key role in supporting the wellbeing of participants at Jamboree. As Welfare 2IC, you’ll work alongside the Welfare Lead to help plan, coordinate, and deliver effective support for mental health, neurodiversity, and additional needs across the event.

In the lead-up to Jamboree, you’ll help develop mental health emergency plans and strategies for managing behavioural or wellbeing-related situations. You’ll also support communication with parents and caregivers regarding individual needs, ensure appropriate management plans are in place, and work closely with the Buddy Coordinator to make sure resources and support systems are well prepared.

This role requires experience working with mental health needs, neurodiversity, or other additional needs, along with a current First Aid Certificate.

It suits someone who is calm, compassionate, and confident working in a team-focused environment. Strong communication, good judgement, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people’s wellbeing are essential.

You’ll play an important part in ensuring every participant feels safe, supported, and able to fully enjoy their Jamboree experience.

Safety 2IC

Play a vital leadership role in keeping Jamboree safe for everyone. As Safety 2IC, you’ll support the Health & Safety Lead before and during the event to ensure all safety systems, processes, and responses are running effectively.

In the lead-up to Jamboree, you’ll help develop the hazard register, complete risk assessments, and work with contractors and activity providers to ensure all activities are safe and well managed. You’ll also help communicate key hazards, expectations, and safety information to leaders and participants, including activity briefing materials.

During the event, you’ll support the management of hazard, near miss, and incident reporting, including triage, investigation, and ensuring issues are followed through and resolved. You’ll also assist with higher-level incident investigations where required, and work closely with contractors and leaders to maintain strong health and safety standards across site.

You’ll take part in planning meetings and contribute to wider safety coordination across the Jamboree team.

This role suits someone with experience in safety or risk management in events. You’ll need to be physically fit, comfortable moving around site, and confident working in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication, attention to detail, and a calm, solutions-focused approach are essential in this important role.

Buddy Coordinator

Oversee the day-to-day running and wellbeing of on-site girl buddies, ensuring they are fully supported and equipped to help girls participate confidently and fully in Jamboree.

You’ll work closely with buddies, coordinate support needs, and help manage the on-call team to ensure consistent and effective support is available when needed.

This role suits someone with experience working with a wide range of disabilities and additional needs, along with experience leading or coordinating a team. Strong communication, organisation, and people skills are essential.

A current First Aid Certificate is required.

You’ll play a key role in helping ensure all participants receive the support they need to have a safe, positive, and inclusive Jamboree experience.

Girl Buddies

Work one-to-one with girls with high needs, neurodiversity, or physical disabilities within a unit, helping ensure they can participate fully and confidently in all aspects of Jamboree.

You’ll provide practical, day-to-day support that enables girls to engage in activities, build independence, and get the most out of their experience.

This role suits someone who is enthusiastic, adaptable, and enjoys thinking creatively to support individual needs. Experience working with a wide range of disabilities is essential, along with a positive, flexible approach.

A current First Aid Certificate is required.

You’ll play a really important part in helping ensure every girl can take part, feel included, and enjoy an unforgettable Jamboree experience.

Welfare Team Member

Support the wellbeing of participants at Jamboree by working in the welfare centre on a rostered basis, helping ensure the mental health and wellbeing needs of girls are met throughout the event.

You’ll be part of a supportive team working to provide care, reassurance, and practical support when it’s needed most.

This role suits someone who has experience working with mental health and neurodiversity needs and is confident supporting young people in a caring environment.

You’ll need to be able to work well under pressure and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, staying calm and focused in a busy setting.

A compassionate approach, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to supporting wellbeing will help you thrive in this role.

Safety Team Member

Support the Safety Team Lead in managing onsite and off-site risks and hazards throughout Jamboree, helping ensure a safe and well-run event for all participants and leaders.

You’ll play an important role in identifying, monitoring, and responding to health and safety risks, working as part of a team to maintain strong safety standards across all areas of the event.

This role requires experience in health and safety, along with a practical, proactive approach to managing risk in a busy environment.

It suits someone who is observant, reliable, and confident working as part of a team. Strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm and focused when responding to issues are essential.

A commitment to keeping everyone safe and supporting a positive Jamboree experience is key to thriving in this role.

Health Team Member

Join the Health Team and be part of the team helping keep all participants safe, healthy, and supported throughout the event. Based in the Health Care Centre and working alongside ambulance staff, the role includes providing first aid, responding to medical needs, and helping create a calm and reassuring environment for youth and leaders.

We’re looking for enthusiastic, practical people who work well in a team and can bring a positive attitude to a busy and rewarding environment. Nurses, paramedics, first aiders, and people with medical or healthcare experience are especially encouraged to apply. The Health Team will work on a rostered basis during the event. If you enjoy working with people, staying calm under pressure, and being part of a fun and supportive team, we’d love to hear from you!

Health Team Admin Support

Support the smooth running of the Health Centre by assisting with a range of important non-medical tasks that help keep everything organised and efficient at Jamboree.

You’ll help with data collection, resource allocation, form completion, equipment restocking, and general admin tasks that support the wider health team.

This role suits someone who is organised, practical, and confident using computers and apps. You’ll need strong prioritisation skills, good problem-solving ability, and the confidence to work well under pressure in a busy environment.

Although this is an admin-focused role, a current First Aid Certificate is required for all members of the health team.

A calm, reliable approach and willingness to support wherever needed will help you thrive in this essential behind-the-scenes role.


Admin and Communications

Media Team

Join a creative and energetic team helping to tell the story of Jamboree! As part of the Media Team, you’ll support photography, writing, and social media to capture and share the highlights, stories, and everyday moments of the event.

You’ll help showcase the energy and achievements of around 1,000 girls and their leaders, bringing their experiences to life through engaging content.

This role suits someone who is creative, enthusiastic, and has a great eye for detail. Strong communication skills and a passion for storytelling, whether through images, writing, or digital platforms, will help you thrive.

You may also be involved in interviewing participants and leaders, and engaging with external media to help promote and share the Jamboree story.

Experience in photography, content creation, or social media is an advantage, but a positive attitude and willingness to get involved are most important.

Registration Team

Be the first friendly face of Jamboree! As part of the Registration Team, you’ll support the check-in process for all participants and leaders as they arrive on site.

You’ll help ensure a smooth, welcoming, and efficient registration experience for around 1,000 girls and their leaders, setting the tone for an amazing event from the very start.

This role suits someone who is reliable, organised, and confident working in a busy environment. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure are important.

Experience in administration or event coordination is helpful but not essential. A friendly attitude and willingness to help wherever needed will help you thrive in this important first point-of-contact role.

Office / Administration Team

Support the smooth running of Jamboree behind the scenes as part of the Office and Administration Team. You’ll play a key role in providing clear, friendly, and helpful communication throughout the event.

You’ll be a key point of contact for parent and caregiver queries, helping ensure information is shared accurately and efficiently. You’ll also assist with a range of administrative tasks as directed by the Core Committee, supporting the wider team to keep everything running smoothly.

This role suits someone who is organised, approachable, and confident communicating with a wide range of people. Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay calm in a busy environment are important.

Experience in administration is an advantage but not essential. A positive attitude and willingness to support wherever needed will help you thrive in this important support role.
