Our Jamboree Theme & Brand
Every Jamboree is shaped by a strong sense of purpose. Our theme and brand bring together the values, experiences and aspirations that will guide the Jamboree journey for all participants.
Awa2027 draws inspiration from the Waikato Awa (river) as a powerful symbol of connection, journey and shared experience.
The theme will come to life through programme activities, site design, ceremonies and shared moments across the event.

The tuna (eel), our Jamboree mascot reflects movement, growth, and exploration echoing the journey each participant takes through challenge, friendship and discovery at Jamboree.
Subtle niho taniwha (taniwha teeth) patterning is integrated within the tuna, acknowledging the cultural landscape of the Waikato while representing strength, resilience and leadership. The tuna is a powerful tohu (symbol) within Aotearoa’s freshwater systems, representing resilience, adaptability and journey.
Living within the Waikato Awa, it reflects the movement, connection and shared experiences of those who come together for Jamboree, guided by the awa and strengthened through challenge and growth.
The blue and green colour palette grounds the identity in the natural environment, directly referencing the awa and the outdoors surrounding us at Jamboree!
A huge thank you to our Jamboree Youth Advisory Group who helped create the name, brand and meaning behind our Jamboree! Their ideas shaped the design and colours you see in the logo.
Our Jamboree logo and brand was designed with aroha by Rosa Flood.
