What is in store for Guides at Jamboree?

Across ten half-day rotations, Guides will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of activities and experiences. From outdoor adventures and creative experiences to wellbeing, culture, STEM and leadership activities, there's a huge range of opportunities for Guides to challenge themselves, try something new and make unforgettable memories at Awa2027.

Adventure and Outdoor Activities

  • Experience water-based adventures including opportunities to paddle, balance and work together on the water through a range of fun and active challenges.
  • Take on exciting climbing and challenge activities that build confidence, resilience and a sense of achievement.
  • Explore scenic outdoor environments with nature-based activities that encourage reflection, discovery and connection with the environment.
  • Explore the outdoors on wheels with active adventure sessions that combine skill-building, balance and teamwork.

Teamwork and Challengers

  • Test your navigation skills by following maps, locating checkpoints and completing outdoor problem-solving challenges as a team.
  • Work together to design, build and race creative teamwork projects that encourage communication, leadership and innovation.
  • Develop focus and coordination through target-based activities that encourage patience, precision and perseverance.
  • Take part in interactive team challenges that encourage coordination, teamwork and friendly competition. 

Creativity and Expression

  • Design and personalise themed creations through hands-on craft activities that encourage creativity and self-expression.
  • Create unique artwork using STEM-based techniques to experiment with light, nature and creative design.
  • Feel the energy of group drumming sessions that encourage rhythm, teamwork, creativity and participation.
  • Get moving with fun and inclusive dance activities that celebrate expression, confidence and connection with others.
  • Enjoy the excitement of movement while building balance, coordination and confidence in a supportive environment.

Wellbeing, Culture and Connection

  • Participate in wellbeing experiences that promote mindfulness, movement, confidence and positive self-expression.
  • Learn about traditional Māori knowledge and practices through hands-on cultural experiences focused on wellbeing and connection to nature.
  • Join interactive sessions that encourage gratitude, self-confidence, inclusion and positive friendships in a supportive environment.
  • Connect with the wider world of guiding through activities that celebrate international friendship, leadership and global citizenship.


STEM, Environment and Future Pathways

  • Explore science, technology, engineering and maths through engaging hands-on challenges, experiments and creative problem-solving activities.
  • Discover innovation and creativity through interactive technology experiences and future-focused adventure activities.
  • Learn about conservation and protecting native wildlife through interactive activities focused on predator-free initiatives and environmental care.
  • Explore future pathways and opportunities through inspiring activities focused on careers, skills and leadership development.

  • Discover beautiful themed gardens and outdoor spaces while taking part in guided exploration, games and creative activities.
