Getting to Jamboree

We know that getting to Jamboree is an important part of the experience, and we are committed to ensuring every participant arrives safely, supported and ready to start their adventure.

There will be several travel options available, allowing families to choose what works best for their child.

Travel Options

Participants may travel to the Jamboree at Mystery Creek in a number of ways:

  • Driving with family or friends
  • Travelling by bus with a contingent of youth and leaders from their local area
  • Flying into Hamilton Airport or Auckland Airport as part of a contingent or independently

Whichever option you choose, we will ensure that participants are met and transferred safely to the Jamboree site. The same applies for the return journey at the end of the event.

Contingent travel is generally organised by local leaders, have a chat to your unit team leader to see what options are available in your local area.

Airport Shuttle Transfers

To support arrivals and departures:

  • Free shuttles will be provided from Hamilton Airport to the Jamboree site at Mystery Creek
  • Shuttles from Auckland Airport will also be available for an additional fee (price to be confirmed)

Further details about shuttle bookings and timings will be shared closer to Jamboree.

Arrival Time – Thursday 14 January 2027

Participants should aim to arrive at Jamboree between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm.

We understand that some flight schedules, particularly regional flights, may make this difficult. Participants arriving outside this window will still be accommodated and supported on arrival.

Departure Time – Wednesday 20 January 2027

For return travel:

  • Flights departing from Hamilton or Auckland airports should be booked from midday onwards.

This allows time for participants to assist with striking their campsite and to travel to the airport safely and calmly.
